We had a real house full of people all this week at the Greaves home. My mother, Dorothy Garrison
of Beloit, Wisconsin; my sister, Laurie Terwilliger, her son Mark and his wife Chrisy and
their daughter Savannah, 4, also of Beloit; and Laurie's son Jeffery, Boston, Massachusetts
were here for the first time in two decades.
Of course, all our children wanted to come and meet the relatives, so we also had Bryan Greaves
and daughters Ashlynn and Kaytlynn, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Keralee and Jordyn Greaves, Chubbuck;
Russell and Stephenie Howe, Alixandra and Nicholas, Las Vegas, Nevada; Randy and Michelle
Greaves, Jessica, Christopher, Michael and Mathew of New Plymouth, Idaho.
One night we slept 24 folks in our tiny house-every floor, bed, couch and even recliner was
taken-one gigantic slumber party that went on for most of the night as cousins got to know
each other. Friday we invaded Sears in Pocatello to take a family photo. The photographer
was wonderful, and we really frazzled her with that many small children (the oldest was 8).
We took a four generation photo of Great Grandma Dorothy will all her granddaughters, a group
shot and Great Grandma with all of her grandchildren. They will be treasured photos in years
to come and well worth the four hour struggle! (I hope!)
The Terwilligers left Sunday for the trip home, which included a visit to Jackson Hole and
Yellowstone Park and another stop at Mount Rushmore.
