The Downey Hyde Memorial Airport Is located just east of the city of Downey. The airport is owned by the city and is unattended, There is no fixed operator or services. Existing facilities include a 3500' X 50' paved runway and taxi way. There is an unpaved tie down area, radio-controlled beacon and runway lights, a wind sock and three private hangars.
At the present time there is water but no rest room facilities at the airport. The entire airport is enclosed and protected by fence and gates. Those people wishing further information on use of the airport may call the Downey City offices, week days between 9am. and 2pm.. That phone number is (208) 897-5342.
