 Small rural hospitals often experience the unpleasant
situation of requiring better automation, especially in
billing and collections, to become more efficient, but can't
afford the major investments required to purchase the
required technology. The heavy investment in necessary
hardware and software, by itself, is prohibitive. Further,
their situation is such that they may not be willing to
commit to a 2 to 10 year contract for support services and
the cost for any necessary support, exclusive of a
contract, is even more prohibitive. To compound these
problems, there is always the fear that after the major
purchase is complete they may find the system
disagreeable to use.
Now there is a new method to acquire a fully functional
Hospital Information System.
Due to new financing options we
are able to offer our fully functional software for a low monthly usage payment. There is no minimum
required contract time. A minimal initial setup and
training fee is required.
This software utilizes PC
networks of Novell, Windows or NT servers and will operate
on Windows 95, 98 or 2000or XP platforms, which many small
facilities already have in-house, thus eliminating the high
cost of specialized hardware. The admission face sheets,
UB92s, HCFA1500s, payroll and AP checks are formatted for
standard HP laser printers. Whenever possible forms are
printed on plain paper forms to reduce costs of preprinted
forms. Electronic claims filing is included reducing the
need for claims clearing house costs.
Completely integrated Modular
design makes it possible to design a system where the
customer pays for only the modules they need while enjoying
the benefits of total integration.
The acquisition of a billing
system is a major decision. There is always concern that
the system may be less functional than anticipated. To
alleviate that concern we have an option which allows the
customer to use the system to do their real
billings while they get a feeling of the true functionality
of the system. Simultaneously, complete databases are
established, the users get valuable training and the
system is proven to be effective prior to any significant
investment or commitment.
Once the customer is assured
that the system will satisfy their requirements, they may
opt to convert their plan to a complete software lease
which allows unlimited use at their facility for any
number of years with only a minimal support contract fee
yearly.
